An Open Letter to My Clients

I’ve been pulling the Ace of Cups and the Queen of Cups regularly in my readings and I’ve been ruminating on what to write next for this blog. The Ace of Cups kept coming to mind but I wasn’t sure what that meant until right now.

I talk and write often about how the work I do with you can help to improve your life, and how we can work together to help you achieve your goals. But I don’t think I talk or write enough about how I really feel about you and about life.

So, here it is.

You are enough.

Yes, just the way you are, right now, in this moment. No matter what is going on in society or in your personal circumstances, this truth remains. What I have to offer you doesn’t hinge on the message that you need, or should desire, to be more than who and what you are. My work with you doesn’t rely on you always pushing, or climbing some imaginary ladder.

My work with you is rooted in the belief that you deserve to be happy with your life.  So if something isn’t working, or something feels off, we can pull back the layers and take a look at what’s going on and you can learn how to change things to make it right again, or find a new version of right for you.

If you want to achieve something new for you, you know I’m here to help and encourage you.

I believe in personal growth, but personal growth is organic. It’s not this frenzied experience of always pushing, always trying to be more, of comparing yourself to others. You’re alive, so you’re growing. The question is, in what direction? Because no matter the outer circumstances, your personal feelings of joy, gratitude and fulfillment are your real compass.

Our work together is rooted in connecting with your intuition, so that the changes you choose to make are changes you can be sure you want to make and not the result of anyone telling you what you should want out of life. This work is also rooted in clarity. When we engage in a tarot reading, there are no masks.
It’s just you and me and the space we’ve made. It is just as much a space of rest as it is a space of growth.

I’m not going to pretend like you won’t ever have to face some difficult truths. Many of you come to me when you’re in the midst of a difficult time. You come for answers and clarity as much as you come for comfort and healing. Being honest with yourself is the first step to healing and true fulfillment.

 And you should know:

You are inherently valuable.

Your value and worth doesn’t stem from what you can do for others. You are valuable simply because you exist. Who you are is your gift to us. Anything you create or offer the world out of yourself is just a bonus. You alone are the jewel.

It is better to be loved than to be useful, and it is better to desire to be useful out of love for others than out of a need to be loved.

You matter.

You are enough.

You are loved.

And there is only room for compassion here.
